Our “C” word this week is Care, which in the C You In The Major Leagues vernacular means someone who puts others first, evaluates everyone honestly, and understands everyone’s impact.
This week’s guest certainly fits that.
For the majority of Mindy Garrett’s career -- about 13 years -- she was a vice president and then senior vice president in human resources in North America and internationally with Swiss Re, followed by a brief stint as the Director of HR Consulting with Cerner. And then last summer she was announced as the Chief People Officer of Henderson Engineers, a national building systems design firm based here in Kansas City.
We chat with Mindy about her background, this term "Chief People Officer," changes in the workforce because of Covid, she takes a swing at our Pregame Batting Practice, and much more.
