Most notably for those of us in Kansas City, he was the news director at KMBC — channel 9 — for 13 years, from 1987-2000. He then spent 13 years as Vice President of News for Hearst Television, before spending a little more than four years, 2013 into 2017, as vice president/general manager at KSHB — channel 41.
